The Prodigy December 18, 2009

It was destined to be a night of pure mayhem.  Keith Flint literally threw his body around the stage as fans went wild for the band to bring them back to their youths. There was an insane mixture of old and young at the gig, new fans and old fans came together to reunite in their music and the bar was jammers.

Thank god they only come once a year!

Miley from Glenroe has found new fame in his own name, made popular by none other but Hannah Montana’s protege, Miley Cyrus. Fans descended up0n the O2 in the frenzy to see their idol sing and dance their favourite songs.

As always, we were the only bar in Dublin showing Hannah Montana rock her stuff out on our big screens and word got out – fast! We were chocko -blocked full of adoring young (and old) fans.

….Truth – its not just girls who really like Miley!

We were humbled to show clips of the talented comedian before and after his show here in the bar, with comedy fans drooling at the mouth of the chance to sit back, enjoy a pint and some comedy in the bar.

Now we hear all nice things here at The Green Room.. where the stars are staying, what they’re eating, who they’re throwing diva fits at back stage and all reports were top of the class for Mr. Izzard!

Depeche Mode December 10, 2009

We were the only bar, not only in Dublin but Ireland to be the only spot for Depeche Mode fans before they hit the O2.

Phantom 105.2 were in h0use for a Soundcheck Party making us the only place to be for devout fans. The show was top class in the O2 and fans said afterwards that it was ‘well worth the wait’ to see the act perform again.

Thanks to Phantom 105.2 who made it a great night out!

Its the Luas! December 8, 2009

The Luas officially opened today, bringing a smile to everyones faces. One of our green room team was present for the ceremony in the National College of Ireland, which was followed by bagpipes in the IFSC and the maiden voyage with the Minister for Transport. We are absolutely delighted to see the Luas running from Connolly to The Point.

To access the closest bar to The O2 from the luas stop, you can easily spot us by our neon green sign from the stop. We always have our green room team staff out and about at the stop so if you have any questions you can ask them. You can spot them with The Green Room jackets and hats on.

KASABIAN November 27, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — The Green Room Bar @ 12:24 pm

Kasabian formed in 1999 and since then have made a name for themsleves as one of the most ferocious musicians on the block. The Brits began at an 18th birthday gig in a local rugby club and renamed themseleves after Linda Kasabian of Charles Manson’s gang. Over the last ten years they have grown from strength to strength worldwide and now dominate in the world of rock amongst the best.

The bar was jammed packed to the walls with hardcore Kasabian fans who rocked their heads off here in the Green Room Bar to Kasabian and proper rock hits all night long.

One couple couldnt help thanking the bar staff for the Kasabian themed evening. “Normally when you go to a gig you end up sitting in a bar with no atmosphere or poor music and you end up relaxing or not getting in the right mood….. then we ended up here and we almost forgot we were going to The O2!! Cant believe the evenings only just begun!!

We would like to thank all the fans of Kasabian, you made the night absolutely amazing here in The Green Room and we will be hosting another Kasabian night soon!
